Pastor William Porter

William Porter served for over 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as Senior Chief Porter.  He served on the National Training Team as the lead trainer and instructor.  He trained officers and enlisted personnel in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Michigan and many other states.  He served on the panel in Washington, D.C to rewrite the manual for recruiting procedures and policies.  He was one of the top recruiters in the nation. He is an entrepreneur.  He is the founder and owner of Masters Moving Services Inc.  He has a strong discipline and work ethic.  This has carried over into his spiritual life as well.

Although he grew up in the church he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in his 20’s. While on active duty in the year 2000 God spoke to him and said, “Prepare to teach my Word”.  After saying yes to the call of God upon his life he began to teach the Word first to his family.  Each night he led Bible Time for his family and whoever else was present. He loves people and has a warm spirit of hospitality.  He is known for large gatherings of cookouts and fish fry’s.  He is a man of prayer and loves to read and study the Word of God.  He continues to learn and is currently a student of the International Bible Training Center.

He has served in ministry as an altar worker, on praise and worship teams, choirs, men’s ministry and marriage ministry.  He is a committed husband to Pastor Donna Porter, father of six and grandfather of five.  He has always supported the call of God upon his wife.  They are one and are working together to fulfill their purpose.  When asked what do you like about pastoring, he said, “I like teaching God’s people the uncompromising Word of God.  I like seeing them grow”.

Years ago Jerry Savelle spoke a word saying, God needs to raise up ex-military officers to pastor His church,  and He has.  Pastor William Porter has a gift of structure, order and consistency that will move the Body of Christ forward in excellence.  He is licensed and ordained through the International Ministerial Alliance.

Pastor Donna Porter

Preparation for ministry has been going on all of her life.  Both the challenges and the triumphs, the secular and the sacred, have molded her for this assignment.  She received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior as a teenager.  She fell in love with Jesus and she fell in love with His Word.

As a young teenage girl she was introduced to the ministry of Evangelist George Searight and began to travel with him, his wife Mary and the Cope Crusade Team.  These experiences anchored her in the things of God.  Evangelist Searight is now Bishop Searight and the great pastor of Abundant Life Family Worship Church. She still attributes her days of traveling with them as the reason she maintained in the things of God.

She attended Rutgers University one year and began to sense the call of God upon her life for preaching and teaching the Word of God.. She left her home of New Brunswick, New Jersey and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible College. She had the privilege of sitting under the teaching of the late Kenneth E. Hagin. She studied in the pastor’s group and graduated in the class of 1988. A few years after graduation she began teaching School of the Bible at Rhema Bible Church, pastored by Kenneth W. Hagin. This was a great honor and a wonderful training experience.

Upon leaving Tulsa she moved to Florida and eventually moved to her current home of Raleigh, North Carolina.  She has served in several areas of ministry, children’s ministry, worship team, women’s ministry, altar worker, marriage ministry, bible teacher, evangelism team and prayer.  She enjoys loving on God’s girls at shelters and prisons.  She is licensed and ordained through the International Ministerial Alliance.

Her professional background is early childhood education with over 25 years of experience.  She is married to Pastor William Porter, Retired Senior Chief of the U.S Navy.. They have a beautiful blended family of six children and five grandchildren. She loves being a wife, a mother, and a G-ma!  She enjoys working as a team with her husband.  They pastor Household of Faith Ministries in Raleigh, North Carolina.  When asked why do you love pastoring she said, “As pastors we have the privilege of loving and caring for God’s people, We get to watch them grow and develop and transform into His image.  I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else”.
